High-Speed Power Modulation of a Series-Stacked Φ2 RF Power Amplifier

Abstract
This paper presents the design and analysis of a series-stacked power combined push-pull class -Φ2 amplifier that utilizes outphasing for high-speed power modulation. This paper demonstrates a design of a 250 V RF push-pull power amplifier (PA) at 40.68 MHz capable of delivering power from 60 W to 2 kW (15 dB). This paper also proposes the design of a balun combiner network (BCN) at the output to drive a ground referenced 50 Ω load.
