Abstract
This paper (linked here until the DOI is fixed) presents the design and implementation of a converter topology to generate voltage excitations for COSS loss characterizations in MHz-frequency power switching devices. The assembled converter can drive a Sawyer Tower circuit with trapezoidal and sinusoidal voltage waveforms, up to 1.2 kVPP at MHz frequencies. Our work is intended to reduce the size and cost of existing characterization systems, improving access to COSS data.

Hybrid converter designed to supply voltage waveforms to a Sawyer Tower circuit for COSS Loss measurement. The converter has two modes of operation allowing it to generate sinusoidal and trapezoidal waveforms.
