1 kW 6.78 MHz Push-Pull Φ2 Amplifier for Induction Heating

Abstract
We propose the design of a push-pull class Φ2 power amplifier capable of delivering 1 kW at 6.78 MHz for induction heating to decarbonize industrial thermochemical processes. The amplifier also utilizes a custom current source resonant gate driver (RGD) with synchronous rectification for SiC MOSFETs and a balun to drive a ground referenced 50 Ω load to deliver power to a susceptor through magnetic induction.
